  • 2024 Lebanon pager explosions
    • Nine people are killed and over 2,750 others are injured, including civilians, Hezbollah members, and the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, when their booby trapped pagers explode in Lebanon and Syria.   • Southern Ukraine campaign
    • Russian artillery targets the town of Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine, killing two people and injuring five others. (Reuters)
  • Doctors Without Borders halts its operations in Russia after its government removed the organization from its roster of approved foreign charities. (Al Jazeera)
• Israel–Hamas war
  • A poll by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research finds that, for the first time during the war, a majority of the residents of Gaza does not support Hamas' invasion of Israel. (Reuters)
• Ituri conflict
  • CODECO militants kill ten civilians in an overnight attack on a Hema village in Ituri Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some of the victims were beheaded, according to local authorities. (Reuters)
• Mali War
  • 2024 Bamako attacks
    • JNIM gunmen open fire on a military camp in Bamako, Mali, killing a number of soldiers. The perpetrators tried to infiltrate the camp, and also opened fire on the Modibo Keita International Airport. At least 15 suspects are arrested. (AP)
