Japanese gardens (日本庭園, nihon teien), that is, gardens in the traditional Japanese style, can be found at private homes, in neighborhood or city parks, and at historical landmarks, such as Buddhist temples and old castles. Some of the Japanese gardens most famous in the West, and within Japan as well, are dry gardens or rock gardens, known as karesansui.

The vigorous young growth of the Tempranillo grape vine vitis vinifera in a typical vineyard in the Catalan Penedès region. One of the most ancient wine regions in Europe, el Penedès is home to some of the most innovative of the so-called Old World growers.

Lantana is a genus of about 150 species of perennial plants, native to tropical regions of the Americas and Africa, and existing as an imported plant in numerous areas, especially in the Australian - Pacific region. The genus includes both herbaceous plants and shrubs growing to 0.5 m to 2 m tall. Their common names are shrub verbenas or lantanas.

kavindraCherry Blossom or Sakura (Japanese kanji: 桜 or 櫻; katakana: サクラ; hiragana: さくら) is the Japanese name for ornamental cherry trees, Prunus serrulata, and their blossoms. Cherry fruit (known as sakuranbo) comes from a different species of tree. Sakura is also a given name. The word "sakura" becomes "zakura", when used in a compound word such as "shidarezakura".

Maize (/ˈmeɪz/) (Zea mays L. ssp. mays), known as corn in the Americas and Australia, is a cereal grain that was domesticated in Mesoamerica and then spread throughout the American continents. Maize spread to the rest of the world after the European colonization of the Americas in the late 15th century and early 16th century.

Syringa vulgaris (Lilac or Common Lilac) is a species of Syringa in the olive family, Oleaceae, native to the Balkans in southeastern Europe, where it grows on rocky hills. Lilacs are a very common ornamental plant found in gardens and parks, because of the attractive, sweet smell of its flowers. Most garden plants are cultivars, with flowers varying from white to dark lilac; some have double flowers with the stamens replaced by extra petals.
