The Potosinista Civic Committee (Spanish: Comité Civico Potosinista ; COMCIPO), was established on 2 August 1976, before the need for a representation that defends the interests of the department of Potosi and its natural resources ambitioned by transnational corporations that, working with governments in turn, exploited the wealth of this land. This supra-institutional civic entity is made up of representatives of different institutions of the department, whose sole purpose is to fight for the rights of citizenship, defend their natural resources and assert their just historical demands. It is currently led by Jhonny Llally Huata, whose leadership won the internal elections in June 2013 and that his leadership was ratified in a township of potosinidad in December 2015, until he can effect the revocation of mandate to authorities departmental and municipal of potosí, by the treachery to the fight of the twenty-seven days of the same year.
