Pratapaditya Guha[1] was a Mughal vassal of Jessore[2] of lower Bengal, before being crushed by the Mughal Empire.[1] He was eulogized by 20th century Bengali nationalists as a Hindu liberator from foreign (Islamic) rule but clearly all this story is based on pure imagination.[3][1]
