Private Ivan (Russian: Солдат Иван Бровкин, romanized: Soldat Ivan Brovkin) is a 1955 Soviet musical comedy film directed by Ivan Lukinsky.[1][2] The picture was seen by 40 million viewers in the USSR.[3] The film was followed by the sequel Ivan Brovkin on the State Farm in 1959.[4]
