Privolzhsky District (Russian: Приво́лжский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 600 square kilometers (230 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Privolzhsk.[1] Population: 22,176 (2021 Census);[6] 26,327 (2010 Census);[2] 28,730 (2002 Census);[7] 34,371 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Privolzhsk accounts for 64.6% of the district's total population.[6]
