The film premiered at the 2019 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.[3] As of October 2021[update], 83% of the six critical reviews compiled on Rotten Tomatoes are positive, with an average rating of 6.8/10.[4] David New received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Editing in a Documentary at the 8th Canadian Screen Awards in 2020.[5]
