Pyrinomonas is a genus of bacteria, containing the only speciesPyrinomonas methylaliphatogenes, which is an aerobic, thermophilic, and acidophilic strain of bacteria that can scavenge hydrogen gas from the atmosphere to survive in nutrient-deficient areas.[3][4][1][5]
