Rail transport in Northamptonsire is part of the national rail network of Great Britain. Rail transport in Northamptonshire began in the 19th century and there were many different railway companies. There used to be 92 railway stations in Northamptonshire,[1] today there are only 6: Kings Sutton, Long Buckby, Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, and Corby.[2]

Historically, rail transport in Northamptonshire has been hampered by the fact that most railway lines pass through the county, as opposed to going to the county.[1]
