Ram Lakhan Mahato (27 July 1947 – 31 January 2020) was an Indian politician from Bihar belonging to Janata Dal (United). He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He was a minister of the Government of Bihar too.

He was a graduate. He was the fifth of six brothers. His elder brother Prof. Rampadarath was also a minister of the state. He started his political career in 1982 with Lokdal. He later moved to the Janata Dal. He became the MLA of Dalsinghsarai in 1995. After the formation of RJD in 1997, he came to RJD and was made Minister of State for Food and Supplies.
