Rancho Yerba Buena

Rancho Yerba Buena or Rancho Socayre was a 24,332-acre (98.47 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Santa Clara County, California given in 1833 by Governor José Figueroa to Antonio Chaboya (also spelled Chavoya or Chabolla).[1] The grant was between Coyote Creek on the west and the foothills, and encompassed present day Evergreen neighborhood of southeast San José.[2][3]
