The Ranizai Expedition was a British-Indian Military Expedition to the North-West Frontier Province in Pakistan.[1][2]
Expedition Against the Ranizais (1852)
The Expedition Against the Ranizais was a British military campaign launched in 1852 under the command of Sir Colin Campbell, later known as Lord Clyde, targeting the Ranizai tribes in the North-West Frontier of British India, present-day Pakistan. This campaign formed part of the broader British efforts to establish control over the volatile frontier regions. The Ranizais, a subgroup of the Yusufzai Pashtuns, resisted British incursions, and their strategic positioning in difficult terrain posed significant challenges to the British forces.
