The red-crowned woodpecker (Melanerpes rubricapillus) is a species of bird in the subfamily Picinae of the woodpecker family Picidae.[3] It is found in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and Tobago.[4][5]
