Rescued by Ruby is a 2022 American biographical drama film directed by Katt Shea.[2] Based on a true story, it follows State Trooper Daniel O'Neil (played by Grant Gustin), who dreams of joining the K-9 search and rescue team. He is unsuccessful in doing so until he adopts and befriends a shelter dog named Ruby.[3][4] The film was released on March 17, 2022, by Netflix, and received unanimous praise from critics.
