Richard Platt (1754 - 1830.[1]) was an aide-de-camp to Alexander McDougall during the Revolutionary War.[1] Platt served as the chairman of the Committee of Arrangements[2] in organizing New York's Federal Procession of 1788, which celebrated the ratification of the United States Constitution.[2] Platt was also a member of the Society of the Cincinnati of the State of New York, for which he served as Treasurer[3] alongside Alexander Hamilton, who served as the society's Vice President[3]
