The town is famous for its Pleistocene archaeological site which possesses rhino bones, tools, deer bones, turtle remains, and stegodon bones. The discovery was confirmed in 2018, and has been a game-changer in Philippine prehistory.[5]
Rizal is 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Tabuk and 522 kilometres (324 mi) from Manila.
