Roman Borisovich Berdnikov (‹See Tfd›Russian: Роман Борисович Бердников; born 31 August 1974) is a Russian lieutenant general and former commander of the Western Military District between October and December 2022.[1] He previously commanded the Russian military intervention in Syria. He commanded the 59th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade and, subsequently, the 29th Combined Arms Army.[2]
