Rufus M. Yale

Rufus M. Yale, sailmaker in Boston

Rufus Mitchell Yale (1822 – 1899) was a prominent Boston businessman and military officer.[1] He was a pioneer in the development of Malden, Massachusetts, and a leading sailmaker in New England under R. M. Yale & Co., established in 1847.[2] He was also a Sergeant under the Artillery Company of Massachusetts and a member of the Freemasons of Boston.
