Rui José Pacheco de Figueiredo (19 April 1929 – 22 July 2013)[2] was an electrical engineer, mathematician, computer scientist, and a professor of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and applied mathematics at Rice University and at the University of California, Irvine.[3]
