Sahar Zaman is an Indian television news journalist and author known for addressing issues of national importance concerning citizens' rights and security on her daily prime-time shows. She was invited to Beijing as a delegate for the BRICS Media Forum to represent Indian media and journalism.
Active in journalism since 2001, she has served as news editor and prime-time anchor for various national news channels, including CNN India, TV Today, Times Network, and Bloomberg TV. Her prime-time debates focus on current affairs, national politics, and social issues, with additional coverage on topics such as unemployment, women's safety, child protection, farmers' plight, elections, and citizens' rights, among others.
Zaman is a regular columnist for the Times of India, The Sunday Guardian, National Herald, and other prominent publications.[1]
She is also the Founder of a Web TV Channel on arts, food, and travel called 'Hunar TV', and the director of a functional art brand 'Chamak Patti'. Additionally, she launched a tribute platform, "Jashn-e-Talat", in honor of her grand-uncle, Talat Mahmood. Her debut book is titled Talat Mahmood: The Definitive Biography.[2] Zaman has also been a TEDx Speaker.[3][4]
