Saltabarranca

Saltabarranca is a municipality located in the south zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz, about 180 kilometres (110 mi) from the state capital Xalapa. It has an area of 91.3 km² (35.3 sq mi). It is located at 18°22′N 95°48′W / 18.367°N 95.800°W / 18.367; -95.800.

The origin of the name of this existing municipality is not known from the creation of the State of Veracruz (1824).^{[citation needed]}
