Samar is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language mystery action-adventure film[1] written and directed by Thiru. It stars Vishal, Trisha and Sunaina, with Manoj Bajpayee and J. D. Chakravarthy as the main antagonists. While Sampath Raj, John Vijay, Sriman, Jayaprakash and Azhagam Perumal plays other supporting roles. Richard M. Nathan handled the cinematography, while the film's soundtrack and score were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.[2] Later on, it was dubbed in Hindi as Gabbar Sher in 2016.[3] The story revolves around a trekking guide, who arrived at Bangkok for meeting her girlfriend, and witnesses a series of puzzling incidents there.[4] After several delays finally the film was released on 13 January 2013.
