The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is a series of Android-based tablets developed and marketed by Samsung Electronics. Unveiled at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26, 2023, in Seoul, South Korea, they serve as the successor to the Galaxy Tab S8 series.[4][5][6][7][8] The tablet's announcement, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Watch 6, marked the first Galaxy Unpacked to be held in Samsung's home country of South Korea. The tablets were released on August 11, 2023.
On October 3, 2023, Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ [9] with notable differences being using LCD screens of lower resolutions and refresh rate instead of AMOLED, a mid-range Exynos 1380 chipset instead of a high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, two speakers instead of four, a slower USB port without Displayport (no external monitor), Wifi 6 (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz) instead of Wifi 6E (6 GHz support), a different camera setup, and having fingerprint scanner on the power button instead of under the display.
