San Jacinto County (/ˌsæn dʒəˈsɪntoʊ/ SAN jə-SIN-toh) is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 27,402.[1] Its county seat is Coldspring.[2] The county's name comes from the Battle of San Jacinto which secured Texas' independence from Mexico and established a republic in 1836.
