  3. ^ a b Neil Brown counts Stewart's career between 2001 and 2005 as one continuous spell at "Airdrie". In fact, Airdrieonians went out of business at the end of the 2001–02 season. A club called Airdrie United was established in the Scottish Football League by taking over Clydebank. The Soccerbase source splits up the spells, but provides two fewer appearances overall.
