Sankar Jerome Montoute (born February 2, 1961) is a Trinidadian former American football linebacker who played one season in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Born in Trinidad, he moved to New York City as a child and attended St. John's Military Academy in Wisconsin. He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers before transferring to Saint Leo University, where he played three years of college basketball. He joined the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 1984 and after a brief stint there, played for the Tampa Bay Bandits of the United States Football League (USFL) in 1985. He was a member of the Edmonton Eskimos for part of 1987 before joining the Buccaneers later that year as a replacement player.
