Santurce (Spanish pronunciation: [sanˈtuɾse], meaning Saint George from Basque Santurtzi) is a barrio of the capital municipality of San Juan in Puerto Rico. With a population of 69,469 in 2020, it is also the biggest and most populated of all the barrios in the capital municipality. Santurce is one of the most densely populated areas of the main island (13,257.4 persons per square mile) with a population larger than most municipalities of Puerto Rico.[2]
