Satsuma (さつま町, Satsuma-chō) is a town in Satsuma District, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 July 2024[update], the town had an estimated population of 18,399 in 8705 households, and a population density of 61 persons per km2.[1] The total area of the town is 303.90 km2 (117.34 sq mi).
