Savage Gulf State Park is a 19,000 acre state park in southern Middle Tennessee.
It was created in 2022 after being part of South Cumberland State Park for many years which had become to large to manage as a single park so a new state park was created.[1] The park will continue to be supported by the non-profit Friends of South Cumberland State Park.[2]
The state park includes the Savage Gulf State Natural Area and the Stone Door area, both formerly managed under South Cumberland. Savage Gulf State Natural Area has been named as a National Natural Landmark.[3]
