Shackelford is a southern neighbourhood of the city of Modesto in Stanislaus County, California, United States, which was officially annexed on June 1, 2012.[2] The population was 3,371 at the 2010 census, down from 5,170 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area. Prior to its annexation, the neighbourhood was a census-designated place (CDP).
