Shanghai Queer Film Festival, (SHQFF) (Chinese: 上海酷儿影展), established in 2017, is an annual LGBT film festival, based in Shanghai, the most populous city in China. The first festival was held from 16—24 September 2017.[1] It is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community event,[2] offering 'a week of screenings, parties, workshops and discussions'.[3] The festival is directed by founder Tingting Shi.[4] There are two other separate and unconnected LGBT film festivals in the city, ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival, and CINEMQ, established in 2015.
