Shima (Japanese: 志摩市, Hepburn: Shima-shi) is a city in Mie Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 January 2024[update], the city had an estimated population of 45,073 in 22,511 households and a population density of 251 persons per km2.[1] The total area of the city is 179.67 square kilometres (69.37 sq mi). Shima hosted the 2016 G7 Summit.[2]
