Shiwa (紫波町, Shiwa-chō) is a town in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 March 2020[update], the town had an estimated population of 32,147 across 11,368 households,[1] and a population density of 134 persons per km2. The total area of the town is 238.98 square kilometres (92.27 sq mi).[2]
