Lt. Col. Simon Edmund Vincent Paul Elwes, RP, RA, KM (29 June 1902 – 6 August 1975) was a British war artist and society portrait painter whose patrons included presidents, kings, queens, statesmen, sportsmen, prominent social figures and many members of the British Royal Family.[1] He was a favorite of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.[2]
