David Sinton, after whom Sinton is named

Sinton is a city in and the county seat of San Patricio County, Texas,[5] United States. The population was 5,504 at the 2020 census.[2] It was founded in 1886 and was named in honor of David Sinton, a influential business owner and rancher.[6]
