Sol-Iletsk (Russian: Соль-Иле́цк) is a town in Orenburg Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Ilek River (Ural's tributary), 77 kilometers (48 mi) south of Orenburg, the administrative center of the oblast. Population: 28,377 (2010 Census);[2] 26,883 (2002 Census);[9] 23,836 (1989 Soviet census);[10] 22,000 (1975); 11,802 (1897).
