South African National Conference on Environment and Development

The first National Conference on Environment and Development in South Africa was held at the University of the Western Cape during June/July 1991.^[1] It saw at least 231 representatives from a wide range of organisations discussing the links between environmental degradation and the political situation in Southern Africa.
