South Georgia is a seventeen-county region in the U.S. state of Georgia,[1] with a 2020 population of 292,759. The most populated county in the region is Laurens County, which had a 2020 census population of 49,570. The Dublin micropolitan area had a population of 65,903 in 2020. Largest cities in the region: Dublin (pop. 16,047), Vidalia (pop. 10,794), Jesup (pop. 9,807), Swainsboro (pop. 7,562), McRae-Helena (pop. 6,254), Eastman (pop. 5,655).
