Sultaniz or Sultanies (Arabic: فرقة سلطانيز) were a musical band of Bahraini Iranians who published songs in Persian (Farsi), and folklore songs of Laristan in Achomi (Bastaki dialect) and Arabic. This group is known in Bahrain as "Sultaniz/Sultanies group" (Arabic: فرقة سلطانيز). The first album of this group was released in 1989 and the last album was released in 2003. The main singer of the group was "Ahmad Sultan".
Their Bastaki song "Naz Akon Naz Akon" inspired by Yusuf Hadi Bastaki's folkloric song of the same name,[1] is one of the most popular songs of this group.[2] Kouros Shahmiri's song "Naz Nakon", which was released later (1998 AD),[3][note 1][4] was inspired by Sultaneez's song "Naz Akon", which was released on June 25, 1990.[5][note 2] Additionally, the song "Chayi Chayi" by Kouros was also inspired by the song of Soltaniz "Chayi Chayeem Kalam Dard Akon", which was released in 1989.[6][7] Other songs like "Raftom Bebagh" (رفتوم به باغ) later inspired other songs such as Iraqi Arabic "Hallah Hallah Ya Jamallak" (Arabic: هالله هالله يا جمالك) by Oras Sattar.[8][note 3]
