Sumita (住田町, Sumita-chō) is a town located in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 July 2023[update], the town had a population of 4,977, and a population density of 15 persons per km2 in 2142 households.[1] The total area of the town is 334.84 square kilometres (129.28 sq mi).[2]
