Svetlana Yakovlevna Jitomirskaya[a] (born June 4, 1966) is a mathematician working on dynamical systems and mathematical physics.[1][2] She is a distinguished professor of mathematics at Georgia Tech and UC Irvine.[3] She is best known for solving the ten martini problem along with mathematician Artur Avila.[4][5]
