Sybrand van Haersma Buma (Dutch: [ˈsibrɑnt fɑn ˈɦaːrsmaː ˈbymaː],[a][b] West Frisian: [ˈsibrant fan ˈhɛrsma ˈbyma]; born 30 July 1965) is a Dutch politician serving as Mayor of Leeuwarden since 2019.[2] Until 2019, he was a member of the House of Representatives from 2002 who also served as the parliamentary leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) from 2010 and as the leader of his party from 2012.[3]
