Taghkanic (/təˈkɑːnɪk/) is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The town is in the south-central part of the county. The population was 1,231, at the 2020 US census,[2] down from 1,310 at the 2010 census.[3] "Taghkanic" is an older spelling of "Taconic".
