Taharoa (Māori: Tahaaroa or Tahāroa) is a small village on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand, to the southwest of Kawhia Harbour and overlooking Lake Taharoa.[3]
The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "long coast" for Tahāroa.[4]
