Oh dear... I wanted to correct a mistake, because the strike took place in 1988, and I had titled the article Spanish general strike of 1989, but now I don't know how to fix it. Please do it for me. I ask for your forgiveness in advance.
Hi. [email protected] has decided to edit again the article, trying to add information with a NPOV. Now the consequences point that the increased budget deficit may be due to other sources than the 14-D strike, although the strike increased public spending. Apart from that, I decide to add information about the upcoming strike in Spain's public education, simply because it is no coincidence that the strike is called for the next 14-D, so they are using its symbolic power so maybe it is a good example. Anyway, I think this strike will not make it into the history books, so if other people prefer to delete this part, no problem. Update: the 14-D 2005 had limited success, even less outside Catalonia. This is because it was called against a law the rest of the unions favour. Even though, nobody went to class in my high school (but everybody went in other high schools I know). Only a hundred people marched in front of the regional government in my home town. This part of the article adds information, but is about a strike that will soon be forgotten, I think.
