Talk:Datastream

Datastream is the name of a Thomson Reuters product[1]. The database is one of the most comprehensive sources for financial market data and widely used by practioners working in the financial industry and academia researching financial markets.[2]

I would argue that at least on a world scale this product is more relevant than the obsolete BT Datastream [3] described in the article. Even if mostly unknown outside the financial world, it is used all over the world by a vast number of financial institutions (I don't have any exact number or sources, sorry). Just try "Datastream" on google...

It should therefore at least be mentioned in the Wikipedia article, even if it may not deserve a full article on its own. What do you think? --Alpenfreund (talk) 17:54, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
