There is also conflicting information on how many districts India has. On the page https://en.wikipedia.orgview_html.php?sq=&lang=&q=Viluppuram_district page it says there are 32 districts.
On the page https://en.wikipedia.orgview_html.php?sq=&lang=&q=List_of_districts_in_India it says there are 718 districts within 36 areas defined on a map as of 2018. Census data from 2011 cites 640 districts. This data is confused by a rapidly growing population and a government that is allowing districts to be divided and subdivided.
