I know it was. However the reasons were due to the article being seen as a local amateur club, and therefore not notable, with no reliable independent references. The club now plays at a much higher level following promotion to the national tier, thereby making the club sufficiently notable. Also the article contains reliable independent references. There is now no reason for this article to be deleted. Rillington (talk) 22:42, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Morpeth RFC page now has multiple references from different sources, both rugby union and local news coverage. Giant killing run in 1974-75 John Player Cup also mentioned - reaching semi-finals beating likes of Bath Rugby etc. Club are also at North Premier - the highest regional level the club has reached.
