Poolstock is south of the River Douglas, starting where Chapel Lane crosses the river and changes to 'Poolstock'. The road is then known as Poolstock until it crosses a brook, a quarter of a mile further south. The road then changes to 'Poolstock Lane'. Poolstock is bounded by the River Douglas from where the brook joins it. Wigan Pier is a distance north of the river and is not in poolstock. 80.193.161.89 23:04, 28 March 2007 (UTC) JemmyH.[reply]
