Talk:Prescaler

Would the term presscaler be used for other kinds of conditions such as one that changes the voltage range of an input?

The example given, in a PLL, is excessively complicated. Can we find an exmaple that doesn't require us to explain a PLL? RJFJR 18:04, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And why is a toggle flip flop not a prescaler? Arnero 08:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So your viewing a T-FlipFlop as a divide by 2? (Darn, I overlooked that because I think of the input as asynchronous rather than regular). Sorry. RJFJR 13:08, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I went to put the image back, but before I do, is this really yhe best image to use to expalin this concept? I didn't see it as a particularly clear exampleof frequency division. RJFJR 13:09, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
